We’re blessed, but deprived…
Who doesn’t have a smartphone/tablet/laptop/electronic gadget of some sort today?
In fact, many of us probably have one of these, or one of each, or even more than one of each…
Yes, so Alhamdulillah, we’re blessed with these fabulous gadgets that we use for hours on end.
We have all the time to use our digital darlings, but we’re deeply deprived.
Why?
Because which of us doesn’t have a Qur’an application on our devices, or a means to access it via WiFi or internet, but we chose to avoid it.
We have the time to make consecutive phone calls and messages. Minutes turn to hours. Granted, we’re busy- but we’ve got five, ten, fifteen minutes to spare to update our social media accounts, to browse the web, to take selfies…
When will we decide to read a verse or two of the Qur’an? It’s not that we don’t have time for it, it’s that we won’t make time for it…
Don’t we know what we’re missing out on? Our hearts are heavy, our minds are overwhelmed, our problems are many, yet we have the solutions, in the Qur’an. If only we would read.
The Qur’an is a healing, guidance and a mercy for the believers. Please read a few lines from Surah Ar-Rahman.

Asalamu alaykum warahmatullah!
Dear beloved readers, thank you for joining us once again.
Todays Islamic creed (Aqidah) Lesson will expand on the previous one.
We will go into a bit more detail regarding the categories of analysis of Tawhid and Islamic Monotheism.
Categories of Analysis of Tawhid
1- Tawhid- ar-Rububiyyah- (Oneness of Allah in His Lordship).
¬ This means we affirm and understand that Allah is the Only Supreme Creator of all that exists.
¬ Allah is the uncreated, Ever-Living, Self-Existing, Self-Subsisting Creator, The Lord of the Worlds
¬ Allah is The Provider, The Sustainer, The Protector. There is no power nor strength except with Allah.
¬ Allah is the King of absolute sovereignty, He owns everything. He is The One, the dominion is His alone and He has no rival nor partner.
¬ He decrees with perfect wisdom. He is the Subduer, The Dominator, The All-powerful, and He has absolute control over the universe and its affairs. And His Justice and wisdom are perfect.
And Allah knows best!

SURAH AL ASR
…
Tafsir Surah al Asr
Speaker: Graduate of Islamic university of Madinah, Sheikh MuAwiya
“( 1 ) By time,
( 2 ) Indeed, mankind is in loss,
( 3 ) Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.” (Surah al-asr)
The Sheikh derived these benefits for us to take from the surah:
- Allah swears by Al-Asr. Allah can take an oath like this to highlight its importance. We however, can only ever swear by Allah.
- Al-Asr refers to time.
- Verily, man is in a state of loss…we have the chance to earn jannah, by doing good deeds. But if we only earn hellfire, then we’ll be in loss. Allah save us amin!
- Illa- except.. an exception .. Except those who have iman in Allah, and knowledge of Him, and knowledge which bears the fruits of iman…
- and does righteous deeds- acting on the knowledge, following Islam, the religion of good.
- Advise one another to the truth, and advise one another to patience…
- So success is to believe in Allah, have ilm/knowledge of Him, His names and attributes, the religion and prophets (alayhimusalam), then acting on that ilm, and calling others to it, doing da’wah and being patient on it. Because you are going to be put to trial for various things when you call to Islam.
Ramadan is here WALHAMDULILLAH… time to put forward good deeds of obedience and avoid the forbidden to help us in the Akhirah, to attain Jannah.
Allah forgive any errors in this post and our lives, and Allah forgive all our errors, and make us among the muttaqeen. amin.
Oh Allah, let us witness Ramadan in your obedience. Allah bless our time in His cause. Allahumma salli wasallim ala nabiyyina Muhammad. amin
